Our Spirit
Inspired by nature — driven by high-tech — made to take off.
SkySpirit is a family-owned studio of engineers and artists in Stuttgart, and for over 20 years we have been doing the thing we love most: making the impossible float.
Fascinated by nature, robotics and the old dream of flying, we explore new technologies hand in hand — and turn them into experiences that people remember for the rest of their lives. Flying is our specialty, but we build robots that stand, drive and swim with the same care.
What we build
Flying is our specialty. Custom is our everyday.
No two venues, stories or ideas are the same — so no two SkySpirit installations are. Every object we deliver is engineered from scratch around your space, your audience and your vision.
Flying objects
Bionic birds, fish, butterflies, orbs, lanterns… or shapes that have no name yet. If it can move people, we can make it move.
Interactive technology
Installations that see, hear and respond to their visitors, turning an audience into participants.
Robots
Machines that stand, drive and swim with the same autonomy we use in the air.
Educational exhibits
Hands-on installations and education kits that bring the wonder of our technology into classrooms and museums.
Kinetic objects
Choreographed movement on the ground, on walls and on water.
It all started with two students. And one crazy question: what if we could make our imagination take flight?

“I constantly challenge the status quo and push boundaries to make the impossible possible.”
The fusion of high-tech, art and science is Agalya’s trademark. Her creations are inspired by nature, rise into the sky, and interact with the people who see them.

“omg need to ask chatgpt for this 🤪🤪🤪 let me get a beer later for creativity 🙂 Damn thought u forgot about it 🙃”
Kristof leads the technology: robotics, embedded systems, image processing and the tracking system that moves every object with millimeter precision.
They said it was crazy and impossible then.
It started in 2006 with two students in Stuttgart, Agalya and Kristof, and one seemingly impossible idea: What if objects could fly on their own, think for themselves, and bring imagination to life?
An idea that sounded like science fiction. Too ambitious. Too crazy to become reality.
But they believed in it. They kept experimenting, building, failing, and trying again. And what began as a dream became something extraordinary.
Today, that same pioneering spirit brings spaces to life around the world — through autonomous flying objects, breathtaking art installations, interactive experiences, and educational innovations that inspire the next generation.
What once seemed impossible is now flying. And we’re just getting started.
What drives us
The greatest privilege? Never having to stop being a kid.
To keep dreaming, questioning, experimenting and seeing the world with the same wonder we had as children. To wake up every day and turn the wildest ideas into reality.
Some people call it work. We call it living our childhood dreams.
Nature is our greatest inspiration
Birds, dragonflies, jellyfish, blossoms. Nature has spent millions of years perfecting what we dream of creating. We observe, learn, experiment — and sometimes give nature a little twist of our own.
We love creating, not just imagining
From the first sketch to the final flight, we bring ideas to life ourselves. Design, electronics, robotics, software and intelligent tracking — all driven by the freedom to experiment without limits.
Impossible is where the fun begins
A concrete block floating above your head. A fish swimming through the air. The ideas that make people say “That’s impossible!” are usually the ones that excite us most.
Wonder is meant to be shared
Nothing makes us happier than seeing that spark in someone’s eyes. The surprise, the smile, the curiosity. Whether through breathtaking installations or educational creations, we want to inspire others to dream, explore and create their own impossible.

Still family-owned. Still in Stuttgart. Still getting goosebumps at every first flight.
The workshop
One roof. Every skill it takes to fly.
Because we build everything ourselves, we move fast, we don’t depend on third parties, and we can adapt anything to your space. It is also why we can promise to stay with you for as long as your installation flies.
